General location.  South Croxton is a small village situated approx. midway between Leicester and Melton Mowbray.

It lies approx. ten miles North East from the centre of Leicester.

If coming from the South by M1, the directions are as follows

Pass Leicester South junction 21

Pass Leicester Services

¼ mile after Leicester Services take exit 21A on to  A46 signed  Newark / Lincoln / Melton

Continue till large island signed same destinations first exit  (left) still A46

½ mile offramp signed Melton Mowbray A607

Continue over two islands until you reach large island showing Melton A607 ahead (second exit)-----

  Take third exit signed Queniborough

500 metres to cross roads (post box near RH  shop far LH)  Turn left

Continue through village past pubs and exit village past church, this is “South Croxton Road”

Continue 3 miles take first turn on RH signed South Croxton.  (Turn is in a dip so be attentive)

½ mile, to tee junction,  turn right down hill

First left by side of Golden Fleece Pub, This is Kings Lane

We are at end of lane last cottage on LH .

 

If coming from the North, I recommend that you pass Leicester services and exit at junction 21, go completely round the lower level island and head North again.

If coming from the West, you must cross the M1, so depending where you do so, follow either of the above directions that is relevant.

 

If you are coming from the East.

A47 from Peterborough towards Leicester

10 miles before Leicester after passing Skeffington take RH turn on B6047 signed Melton.

Continue on this road approx 4.7 miles and take Left turn signed Queniborough, in 50 yds left again.

(you are going left round a small triangle of land between roads with a house in the middle)

Continue approx 2 miles descending long hill at end of section.

At cross roads at bottom of hill take LH turn signed South Croxton

Enter village past church and continue down hill that is Main Street of village. 

First left by side of Golden Fleece Pub, This is Kings Lane
